The Sandy Brook Conservation Corridor (SBCC) encompasses an area of 25,000 acres representing the Sandy Brook watershed. Sandy Brook flows southeast from York Lake in Sandisfield, MA for 13 miles to its confluence with the Still River, and shortly after, the federally designated Wild and Scenic West Branch of the Farmington River. The SBCC is comprised of both public and private land with varying protection statuses and lies within two states and seven towns. Our Regional Conservation Partnership (RCP) is encouraging ecologically sound land management and the preservation of small and large land parcels, which would otherwise be at risk of development or degradation.
